The Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower is a modern design memorial celebrating the Bicentennial (1804-2004) of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The Tower consists of 2 concrete "legs", one housing an elevator, the other a staircase, and 3 observation decks placed at 50 feet, 100 feet and 150 feet above the ground. The viewing decks give a 360 degree view of the Hartford area, including the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. The Confluence Bike Trail runs directly below the towers. There are restroom facilities as well as a gift shop. The Tower is open daily. A fee is charged for a tour up to the viewing decks. All tours are subject to the weather and wind conditions.
